Advanced Restorative Justice
Monday, February 8th 8:30-3:00 PST
For graduates of Initial Restorative Justice Training or those already using basic Restorative Practices, this advanced workshop will focus on high level violations that may result in a suspension, expulsion, re-entry or major repair. We will model a circle for a large harm issue involving multiple students in which parents and community members are also brought in and show the re-entry circle process after a student is returning from suspension. We will also introduce you to another line of restorative questioning that comes from the practitioner Dominic Barr. It helps to show that there are multiple avenues to bring about change. Time for problem solving current issues with restorative practices in your school will also be provided.
Presenters: Carol Frodge and Lori Lynass
