Event begins in:

Initial Restorative Justice Practices for Schools

Aug 14th-15th 8:30-3:30 PST    |   $375.00    LaConner Elementary, LaConner, WA

Trainers: Carol Frodge & Lori Lynass

Restorative practices help build community, celebrate accomplishments, transform conflict, rebuild relationships that have been harmed, and reintegrate students who have been suspended or expelled through an equity lens. Both the theory and practice of Restorative Justice emphasize identifying harm, involving all stakeholders, and true accountability – repairing harm and addressing its causes. Restorative practices aligned with the multi-tiered framework are at the heart, a prevention-based approach. This training prepares schools to start implementing restorative practices.

This interactive training will teach participants:

  • The philosophy behind restorative practices
  • How to facilitate community building circles
  • How to use restorative practices for problem solving
  • How to facilitate restorative circles for larger behavioral issues

Includes breakfast daily, lunch on Aug 14th. Twelve clock hours are offered.
